Cancellation or Termination
- Either party may terminate this Dog Walking/Sitter agreement a minimum of 24 (twenty four) hours prior to the first scheduled visit without incurring penalties or damages.
- Cancellation by the Owner of scheduled walks with less than 24 hrs notice may be charged at the full rate or rescheduled at the discretion of the Walker.
- Should any dog become aggressive or dangerous, the dog walker/sitter may terminate the dog walking agreement with immediate effect.
- Any wrongful or misleading information in the Customer Registration Form may constitute a breach of terms of the Dog Walking/sitting agreement and be grounds for instant termination thereof.
- The owner will ensure vaccinations remain up to date, and provide proof if asked. The dog walker/sitter has the right to refuse service until vaccinations are brought back up to date or proof of vaccinations is provided.
Liability
- The dog walker/sitter accepts no liability for any breach of security or loss of or damage to the Owner’s property if any other person has access to the property during the term of this agreement.

The dog walker/sitter shall not be held liable for any mishaps of any nature that may befall the dog(s) in their care, or for any harm caused by the dog(s) to third parties or other animals.
- The Owner shall be liable for all medical expenses and damages resulting from an injury to the Walker, Third Parties or animals caused by the dog as well as damage to the Owner’s property.
- The dog walker/sitter is released from all liability related to transporting dog(s) to and from any veterinary clinic or kennel, the medical treatment of the dog(s) and the expense thereof.
Indemnification
The Owner will not blame and payback the dog walker/sitter against any and all costs, expenses, losses, liabilities and claims arising from said dog(s) behaviour.
Emergency Protocol Agreement
- In the event of an injury or emergency, the dog walker/sitter shall attempt to provide first aid, including CPR, if required. The owner acknowledges that the dog walker/sitter is not a licensed veterinarian and that any first aid provided is intended to stabilise the dog(s) until professional veterinary care can be obtained.
- The dog walker/sitter will endeavour to contact the owner at the provided phone numbers to confirm the owner’s preferred course of action once the necessary first aid has been administered. If the owner cannot be reached in a timely manner, the walker is authorised to:

Transport the dog(s) to the agreed veterinarian

Request on-site treatment from a veterinarian

Transport the dog(s) to an emergency clinic if the previous two options are not feasible.

Security
The dog walker/sitter warrants to keep safe and confidential all keys, remote control entry devices, access codes and personal information of the Owner and to return same to the Owner at the end of the contract period or immediately upon demand.
Whole Agreement
Any alteration to this T&Cs must be in writing and sent to all parties entering into the agreement.
Assignment
No party may assign any of its rights or delegate or assign any of its obligations in terms of this Dog Walking/sitting Contract without the prior written consent of the other party, except where otherwise stated.
Walking dogs off lead
If agreed to by the Owner, the dog walker has permission to walk the dog(s) off lead. By doing so, the Walker agrees to only walk the dog(s) off lead at safe and appropriate times and places.
Pictures /Social Media
The Owner agrees for the dog walker/sitter to take pictures /videos of the dog(s) and post these on their social media platforms and use them to promote their business. The owner agrees that these pictures are owed by the dog walker /sitter.
